Housing

Gold Star
Gold Star is a four-story co-ed residence hall with suite-style baths. Rooms are double or single occupancy except for a limited number of triple rooms. Gold Star offers two study lounges, a spacious community kitchen, laundry facilities on each floor and a large lobby featuring a big screen TV and a ping-pong table.

Hunt
Hunt is a two-story all-male residence hall with suite-style baths. All rooms are double occupancy except for a limited number of triple rooms. Hunt offers a spacious community kitchen, laundry facilities and a computer/study room on the first floor, and a large community room featuring a ping-pong table, billiards table and big screen TV.

Martin
Martin is a two-story all-female residence hall with suite-style baths. All rooms are double occupancy. Martin offers a spacious community kitchen, laundry facilities and a computer/study room on the first floor along with a large lobby featuring a ping-pong table, billiards table and big screen TV.

President
President is a three-story all-male residence hall with hall-style baths. Laundry facilities are available in the adjacent Iris Graham Education Center.

University Apartments
The apartments are a co-ed community for upperclassmen. Each apartment includes a furnished living room; kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator and microwave; a furnished private bedroom for each student and one or two bathrooms. The community features patios and balconies for residents to socialize outside as well as a courtyard area. On-site laundry is available.

Off-Campus Accommodations
Students may live off-campus only if they meet one of the following requirements:

  • Previously lived on campus for at least four semesters
  • Completed a minimum of 60 McMurry credit hours
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Will be living with parents or legal guardians within a 30 mile radius of the campus
  • Married/getting married

Dining

J.E. and L.E. Mabee Dining Hall
Located in the heart of campus. Open Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. and Sunday 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

  • Variety of hot entrées and sides served daily

Sports Grille
Located in the campus center. Open Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and Sunday 5-10 p.m.

Facilities

  • The Bobby Lee Carter Throws Complex is a state-of-the-art throws facility for shot put, discus, hammer throw and javelin events.
  • The R. M. Medley Field House contains a fully-equipped weight training facility as well as a 3,600-square-foot carpeted workout area.
  • The J. W. Hunt Physical Education Center houses Kimbrell Arena, used for basketball and volleyball competition, and a complete fitness center.
  • The Phillips Family Student Activities Center includes an Olympic indoor swimming pool and a recreation gymnasium with basketball, volleyball, badminton and racquetball courts.
  • The Wilford Moore Stadium contains a standard track and athletic field. It is used for McMurry home football games, soccer games and track meets.
  • The Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center is home to six tennis courts.
  • The Walt Driggers Baseball Field is a premier baseball facility.

From comedians to music and everything in between, the Campus Activities Board provides McMurry students with programming and events that are diverse, educational and fun!

Programs and events are selected by the student-led Campus Activities Board (CAB). All current actively enrolled students with at least a 2.0 GPA are eligible for membership in CAB and are encouraged to get involved.

Campus Center

The Shirley L. and Mildred Garrison United Methodist Campus Center hosts a wide variety of activities in the heart of campus. It is home to a snack bar, chapel, post office and bookstore. This is the place to enjoy movies and concerts, attend meetings and conferences, and just hang out.
