Our collective community is actively practicing social distancing measures, and we encourage you to do the same, as you prepare for your visit. Current Safety Measures

  • Besides having the opportunity to select your preferred visit day that fits with your schedule, we kindly ask that you complete a ‘ Prospective Student Campus Visit Questionnaire’.
  • We request that every prospective student and each accompanying guest individually submit a health status questionnaire.
  • Questionnaire responses will be confidentially received.
  • If some of your health screening responses warrant caution, then an Admissions Office Representative will contact you to recommend an alternate appointment date/time.
  • For each person in your visiting group, we seek your cooperation in completing a ‘Campus Visit Health Screening Survey’.
  • A reminder notification containing this link will be sent to you via email, the day before your appointment.
  • If upon review, some of your health screening responses (or that of your accompanying guests) warrant caution, then an Admissions Office Representative will contact you to recommend an alternate appointment date/time.
  • Upon arrival, we ask that you undertake a self-administered temperature measurement, using a pre-sanitized thermometer available to you, at our Check-in Station.
  • An Admissions Office Representative will record your result. With acknowledgement that your assessed temperature is at an acceptable entry level (<100◦ F), we will welcome you into our Furr Welcome Center.
  • We will provide you with a CARE PACKAGE containing a complimentary Visitor ID Pass, mask, hand sanitizer and personal bottled water).
  • We will ensure to exercise recommended social distancing behaviors.
  • We will provide you with a takeaway gift bag, which has been mindfully prepared prior to the day of your visit.

Good news! McMurry has gone test-optional! You can contact your admissions counselor for more information.

For those seniors who believe their high school academic record and GPA better reflect their abilities and potential, we will consider admission and merit awards based on a test-optional basis. At McMurry we understand test scores are not always the best indicator of human potential.
